Our Founder and Director of 'Bark'-eting, Erik, has worked with dogs for most of his life, starting as a training assistant for police K-9 dogs.
After a career in the US Army, Erik re-discovered his passion for working with dogs when he adopted Sarge, a former Bedford County drug dog and started rehabilitating him into service life. He also recently adopted another young Malinois. He is certified in Basic & Intermediate Obedience and puppy training and is currently working on Advanced Obedience. His ultimate goal is to train search-and-rescue dogs, as well as hospital therapy and service dogs.
Bootlegger K-9 wants to be more than just a dog training service. We will form strong relationships in the community, working side-by-side with other trainers and rescues. We plan to construct a state-of-the-art facility in Franklin County, where both private owners, service dog trainers, and law enforcement personnel can work their dogs
Bootlegger K-9 wants to be more than just a dog training service. We will form strong relationships in the community, working side-by-side with other trainers and rescues. We plan to construct a state-of-the-art facility in Franklin County, where both private owners, service dog trainers, and law enforcement personnel can work their dogs in a safe and holistic environment. We also plan to help dog rescues with discounts on training packages for dogs finding their fur-ever home!
Our ultimate goals are to be an anchor and support to our local community, providing the best tools for you to share your best life with your fur-ever friend!
