After a career in the US Army, Erik re-discovered his passion for working with dogs when he adopted Sarge, a former Bedford County drug dog and started rehabilitating him into service life. He also recently adopted another young Malinois. He is certifying in obedience training and canine behavior through Catch Canine Training Academy, and will be a certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator through the AKC.

Bootlegger K-9 Training & Rehab is more than just a dog training service. We are the link to understanding how to get the most out of the relationship with your dog. We use a behavior-focused, minimally-invasive, balanced training approach which is carefully curated for you and your dog's specific needs. We do not recommend or use e-collars or other strong methods without prior consultation with the owner, and then only if certain criteria are met.
We are also committed to forming strong bonds in the community through volunteer work at facilities such as the Franklin County Animal Shelter and other non-profits by working with their special cases - we make sure every dog gets a chance to find a new fur-ever home!
